The Panhellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer "Leap of Life" organizes in March 18 and 19, 2022 the 1st Breast Cancer Patients Conference entitled "Breast cancer in Greece today".
The Conference will carried out hybridly, that is, with a physical presence in a conference room in Athens (Golden Age Hotel), adhering to all applicable Health Protocols, and with simultaneous online broadcast on Association's Facebook page.
Objective of the Conference is to highlight all aspects of treatment and management of breast cancer in Greece today, to be mapped the lifestyle of patients after diagnosis and treatment, while at the same time discussing ways to solve and improve disease management by all stakeholders involved, always having as a basic denominator the quality of life of patients.
Topics
The theme of the Conference is based on the positions of the Memorandum which have been prepared by the Panhellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer "Alma Zois", the Association of Women with Breast Cancer "Alma Zois" of Achaia Prefecture and the Association of Women with Breast Cancer "Alma Zois" of Thessaloniki Prefecture, in collaboration with the scientific societies: Hellenic Society of Breast Imaging (HSMI), Hellenic Society of Oncologists (HSMO) and Hellenic Society of Breast Surgery (HSMS), which has been submitted for utilization to the Ministry of Health, with the aim of highlighting the key areas of action for the management of breast cancer in Greece:
- National Breast Cancer Patient Registry
- National Breast Cancer Screening Program
- Comprehensive Care Breast Centers
- High-Risk Women
- Care plan during and after the end of treatments / Survivorship
- Metastatic Breast Cancer
- Return to Work for Breast Cancer Patients
- Exchange of good practices with breast cancer patient associations in Greece and the world.
In each thematic section, there will be presentations by specialized and renowned speakers from Greece and abroad, while sufficient time will be allocated for discussion with the participation of the audience.
